Sick Visit & Virtual Care Offering
Background
From day one, we’ve taken great pride in our ability to provide in-home sick visits and virtual care to our patients and families — we're now excited to offer this acute care outside of a full primary care relationship (which typically includes all well-child visits).
Scope of Care
It’s important to note that our relationship will not be a replacement for your current primary care provider. With that in mind, we recommend you go to your child’s well-visit primary care provider with questions or concerns about the following:
- Wellness visits & school/sports physicals
- Vaccines
- Sleep questions/concerns/consultations
- Chronic condition management
- Feeding issues, including painful reflux/GERD
- Specialist referrals
- Refills for medications not prescribed by Modern Pediatrics
- ADHD management
- Depression/Anxiety management
- Developmental questions/concerns
- Potty training
- Behavior management
Vaccine Policy
Finally, we require all members of the practice to follow our vaccine policy. As your child ages and receives additional vaccines from their well-visit primary care provider, we will request updated records from you on an as needed basis.
Note: In rare cases, we may determine that your child's medical situation is too complex for us to safely manage in a sick visit and virtual care only capacity. If this is the case, we will communicate this to you and request that you transition all primary care to Modern Pediatrics in order to continue working together.
