Do you recommend lactation support for all breastfeeding families?

Yes we do! We've found that working with a lactation consultant is one of the best things families can do to ensure their breastfeeding journey is going to be a success.

What's included in the lactation support package?

Our lactation support package includes unlimited in-home lactation visits with a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and unlimited virtual lactation coaching (text message, phone calls, video visits). The cost of this package is $300 with health insurance.

When will my credit card be charged for the package?

Your credit card will be charged once your baby is born.

How do I schedule lactation consults?

We'll send you a text message to schedule your first consult (usually around a week after your newborn visit), then you can decide with your lactation consultant on timing for any follow-up consults. If you ever want to schedule a consult proactively, you can always text us at (512) 580-9204.

How many lactation consults are covered by my insurance?

This can vary a lot by insurance plan, but multiple visits are typically covered. Feel free to give your insurance company a ring to find out for sure.

How long are lactation consults?

Your initial lactation consult will likely last around 1 hour to give your lactation consultant enough time to observe an entire feeding, provide feedback/advice, and answer all of your questions. Follow-up consults are typically a bit quicker.
